Heya folks. Been awhile since I've posted here. Not the perfect forum for this (does anyone know of a good/active vermiculture forum?) but you guys are always full of good ideas.

So I want to hook my kitchen sink up to a slow sand filter to clean up the grey water before sending it out to my garden. The problem with kitchen sink grey water is the high fat/grease content and stuff like food bits and dairy. All of these things will clog up a slow sand filter pretty quick so I've been trying to think of a way to preclean the water before it gets to the sand filter. so I thought... what if I run the sink water through a 5 gallon bucket filled with gravel and composting worms first?

think this'll get nasty or do you think the worms will be able to keep it clean?

Just installed a new kitchen. Hooked up one sink normal and the other so it dumps outside in a 200 ltr drum for the garden. Just use one sink for oil soap milk etc. And the other for washing veg etc.
