Greetings fellow aquaponic dudes!

Just needed some advice again. Do the clay balls in the photo look like suitable media for grow beds? What about for a biofilter?

They are really light, which would make life alot easier when setting up the grow bed racks. They are also relatively cheap. Any ideas? The dude said they dont dissolve or anything, so I figured they'd work.
Thanks for any help and advice!!! Cheers mates!

They do resemble an expanded clay ball... albeit a poor quality imitation....

Might not "dissolve" as such... but look like they could disintergrate over time....especially if they were "floating" in a fluidised bio-filter...

In a flood & drain growbed, which is a bio-filter anyway... they'd probably be fine..

And if they're cheap, then go for it... many members use the expanded clay balls in their growbeds..
