I found this to be a very pleasant idea for oxygenating water that is flowing down a hill side. It could be used with AP if your system was landscaped into a slope.

I love the way the water naturally oscillates back and forth. No telling what those would cost, but it could be made of colored cement too.

These are pretty popular in permaculture, but the prefab ones I've seen are in the thousands.

Seems like they couldn't be that hard to cast out of cement or clay or such.

If I could just get a pattern or a good top down picture I could make a mold.

Granted, I've only seen these in books and videos, but they seem to me like a playing-card club symbol with the top leaf cut off to provide a flow out to the next level. If that helps :).

with some wet sand under plastic you could probably form your own and once it is flowing they way you like, you could then fill with plaster or something to make the negative mold.

They've got a set at the Aust. National Botanical Gardens for oxygenating their ponds.

Many of those do the same thing. What I like about the version in the video is how the water goes back and forth between sides. Looks like it has something to do with the little riser things top and bottom.
