Well guys Its finally going to happen - I have organised a working bee of insane and easily led friends who are arriving shovels in hand to help me build my system on Saturday. With the birth of my bub only 9 weeks away I realised its either now or never so I emailed everyone I knew, grovelling pathetically for help and promising to name our child after anyone willing to help. Weve got a tonne of scoria arriving for the 4 grow beds ( plastic sand pits) and they will be positioned on two massive 4 M sleepers on cement blocks right over the top of a 4000- 5000 L pond we are digging. I am quite panicked at the prospect of actually making a big system - but my mini system is happily chugging along with lots of lovley celery, clean water and happy goldfish so that gives me some confidence. I am so happy to be finally making it happen after all these months of research and great conversation , debate and advice I get from all of you on this forum. I promise to take lots of photos and get them onto the forum. I'm off now to go and buy some drains and pipes for the beds - this will be an interesting excursion into the unknown world of pvcv and silicon. Hope they dry by saturday! (ps tried to post in members systems but got the big 'access denied' - I'll try not to take it personally but those of us about to give birth can be very sensitive!!!) Cheers Aeon |

Have lots of fun! We're having a small bee too on Saturday, with a couple of friends helping to get the shed posts up, square and concreted. Friends are great if you can con/coerce them with promises of food and merriment. Of course, we've already named our two kids so we can't use that for bribes! |

Yep the forum has been set up to prevent pregnant women form posting too much, it a security thing. ROFLMAO Try it again in a few hours aeon, if it still knocks you back PM me the error message exactly as it appears and i'll try and get them to lift the "about to give birth" ban |
