I overflow the standpipes in the top gb and that water also fills the bottom until it over flows then the timmer shuts the water off and they drain. Can use a larger drain hole on the top gb. Other one I have a siphon that drains and then siphons the bottom one. But the top gb is 500ltr BYAP and the bottom is a 380ltr.

My bottom bed in my siphon system is bigger than my top bed. it works fine.

I have 40mm siphons in the bottom. The size difference just makes it easier to start & stop. 1 f&d of the top gives 2 f&d of the bottom.
