Whats the best way to initialise a new system? I'm goin to see if i can use some of the sludge from a fellow APer friend of mine, is there anything else that i should do to help kick start the system? And also is it worth startin off with just some cheap feeder fish or the like, or could i get away with goin straight to silver perch and just doin some more frequent water changes? Any opinions/experciences would be greatly appreciated Jono |

The BYAP kits are tested and designed to add fish... and plants .... from day one.... as long as you follow the rules... |

the best tools are being patient, using small qty. of fish and regular testing. inoculating defiantly helps, but winter is the slowest time to cycle a system. try and get the sludge in your system in as short a time as possible. |
