i was thinking of buying one of these 10000 lt tanks.
AP 5000 1100 5000 $1,655 Included 2% = $33.10 2700D x .900H 1.22 with base
AP 10000 2200 10000 $1,595 $1,295 2% = $31.90 3700D x 1.0H 1.35 with base. the base is $1.295
The base however seems expensive and i want to have a drain overflow from the bottom. I was wondering if i could just put the tank on a sand base sculpted to alow for the 125mm taper in the bottom of the tank. Anyone use one of these tanks?. Is 1m deep enough for a fish tank?
Pete

1mtr deep should be okay. The aqua farm I get my fingerlings from has a 5ft cod in a tank that is shallower than that.
My large swirl filter has wooden wedges to taper the base so sculpted sand should work fine. Not sure if it is worth mixing a little dry cememt with the sand set the shape.

Nah.... sculpted sand will be fine... no need to "set" the shape... the weight of the water will do the job...
