Hi I have been watching the videos on utube and just can not figure out how you regulate the flood and drain cycle with a float switch in the sump and a float switch in the fish tank. I would think that the sump would start pumping into the fish tank before the switch turned off and just get caught in a loop. Could some one explain this to me. I could see it work if there was a float switch in the sump and the fish tank was on a timer. Thanks Doug |

It works, my system at home has run with a float switch in the fish tank and one in the drain tank for many years now. It all relates to how much water is in the system, and the careful set up of the float tethers in the begining. Nowadays we set up the systems with timers in the fish tanks and floats in the drain tanks. |

Or just a pump and autosiphons... no pesky switches to fail then... course pump never stops, so power consumption is higher |
