OH is talking about adding another fish tank (1000L+) to the system for the lady yabbies with babies... it will flow into the 800L trough in the ground instead of having a 100l drum for the yabbies which are in berry. Problem is... I'm not sure how to add the new tank if he gets it.

Do I fill it up and add some yabbies straight away or fill it, leave it, let it flow in and THEN add the yabbies after a while?

At the moment, we have about 30 yabbies and 4 goldfish.

He's making an offer on it today I think 8)

Easy connect it to the system and let the water circulate threw it for a day to balance then transfer the yabbies

+1 on the connecting it up and letting the added water plus system water circulate and mix before adding the critters into the new tank.
