i decided it would be prudent to invest in a larger capacity pump so that when mu ap system inevitably expands ill have the flow to cope. First two look good and solid,,,,don't like the looks or lack of data on the 3rd one. being made for sewage water removal etc,,it would begood to ensure they do not have oil bath bearings,,,alittle oil mixed in sewage may not be a problem but it's no good for fish or plants. |

Blue fin I haven't seen those, but I made the mistake of a too small pump, I have now a 4500lph resun pump that blasts water out and can used inline, they have models up to 10,000lph, mine was $85 posted to WA, if you search ebay for resun pump you will see models available, 800 watts will be a hefty power bill, mine is 90watts and I think the 8500lph is 120 watts and around $120, I used ebay because of my location and needing in a hurry, but most pond places stock them also under name of aquapro and jebebo |

Do an ebay search on " jebao ", they have a good reputation and are specifically designed for fish etc. |

often the pump manufacturers quote two figures max head and max lts per hour. The two are sometimes unrelated as the max lts per hour is at the min head. As the head climes lts per hour falls. Unless manufactures state the graph of head over lts per hour then it is difficult to gauge efficacy of the pump. But given this the jabao tornado does indeed seem to open up a can of woop ass in the wattts v volume of water pumped stakes. The price is also on the mark. thanks for the info people. peace pete |

The low and power rates are spot on for the tornados. I went from 250 watts of power using normal paddle impellor pumps, to 130w for the tornados, and I get to run them less due to the amount of water they manage to move

thanks everyone i think ill go with the jabao tornado as its power consumption vs lts pumped is the best so far. They are way cheaper than grundfos or davey eqivelants. cheers |
