Hi, My tank has a problem with snails. I have tried everything and regularly cleaned the aquarium but can't get rid of them. Anyone with experience please advise? Thanks! |

Find a pet store that has or can get you a few assassin snails. Worked for me a few years ago. No snail issue since then. |

Hi, I have found that redfin or trout take care of them. Frogs take care of the ones in the grow beds. The mane problem that I have had with water snails is that they block up everything like pumps and pipes. |

If you're talking about an aquarium then assassin snails are a good solution, though a bit expensive if I recall correctly. Also a YoYo loach will help as they eat snails and look cool too. An explosive snail population is usually a sign of overfeeding. |

You don't need a whole herd of assassins. Just 3 or 4 to roam around picking the pest snails. Will probably take a couple weeks, but they're pretty efficient at their job. A lot easier than trying to restock with a different type fish. The loach seems a reasonable solution, but more difficult to keep.......it's a jumper, too. |
