Just wondering if anyone has tried using a cyclonic filter from a Dyson type, bagless vacuum cleaner to remove solids in their AP? I realise that the components might not be food grade but thinking that since they filter air quite well, that maybe they'd be a viable filter for suspended solids in water? Hoping for people's thoughts on the idea. And yeah, it is quite a Womble thing to do, I know. Cheers. |

You’re talking a swirl filter right? |

Pretty much the same thing as a swirl filter, I think. I think that I'd prefer to scratch build solids filtration but these are pretty efficient and was just wondering if it'd been tried before. I'm sure that they'd only work with a particular water velocity and flow rate but suspect they might be a neat solution for people who have a tight space available. Just pondering for the most part. |

Plumbing one up might not be very straightforward though, I must admit. |
