I'm thinking of starting another system and my question is how often can I trim the roots of the plants inside the grow bed if necessary at all? My fear is the roots will overcome the bed and if I keep them trimmed they will stay in there own area. When I was on here a while back I noticed someone "bonzaing" roots at the end of each season? Don't want roots to take over the bed and then have a tough time removing them at some point

Thanks

If you have a raft system and depending on your fish species I think they might help trim the roots for you, but my opinion is that it's good to trim your roots at the end of season or they just become a a huge clump.
I have just trimmed up a lot of roots from my pond that were choking things up.
