What are the pros and cons of having one large aquaponic system (600 gallon fish tank) VS two smaller aquaponic systems (two 300 gallon fish tanks)?

Having a separate system to quarantine new fish is a good idea this system can be salted and grow plants that can cope with a bit of salt

Second system can grow more salt sensitive plants

Two systems can be run with different nutrient bases one for hungry plants like tomatoes and the other for salad types that require a lot less nutrient

Larger systems are more stable (less Ph and temperature swing ect)

Two systems cost more to set up

Two systems allows you to size your fish (a couple of big brave fish can get most of the feed) and the others grow a lot slower

You can also have one large system with 2 tanks for having different sizes of fish, that's what I'm going to do.
