I’ve been running my first system in Indiana for the summer. I made some bad design choices and not a whole lot of fruits and vegetables have been growing. The cucumber plants have spread throughout my system like wildfire, but no cucumbers except for some very, very tiny ones. Imagine my surprise when I find this in the thicket of vines!

It doesn’t have the hard, deep green skin of store bought cucumbers. Is this normal?

I have thin, feminine arms... but just to show the scale of this sucker...

before scrolling down I thought you had grown a bottle of wine!

No but seriously...

I think these kind of veg (cucumbers, courgettes, pumpkins etc) will stop producing new fruit if you don't harvest them as they come, and let them get too big.

If you harvest your courgettes just in time its a marrow escape!

Maybe you left it on the plant too long.
Yesterday I saw a video with someone who left a courgette too long on the plant & it looked similar to your cucumber. :dontknow:

that is our experience growing cucumbers in dirt... if they get too big they get lighter color and will be full of seeds and not much flesh. I haven't tried growing them in AP, but would assume it's similar.

My cucumbers are vining, not bush cucumbers. Wish i knew there was a difference when i bought them!

Here is a picture of the leaves. Most of the issues are on old growth. I’m thinking magnesium or potassium will help?

It looks like natural leaf drop especially if it's fruiting, but I'm not 100% sure.

My french beans are also doing that now.
