A place to discuss aquaponics

Hello!
So I am from Evington, Virginia and I am interested in getting into an aquaponics for the main purpose of breeding crayfish or something similar. Produce wise id like to do something like carrots and sweet potatoes.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting a system setup?

Know that o do not have the I interior space for this system so it will be an outdoor unit.

The style of AP I feel that can do root crops the best is iAVs. I have carrots beets and radishes growing in mine right now, and have done the red potatoes. Dont know about the sweets, tho. I intend to try sweets next spring.

Another possibility you might want to consider is using some wicking beds for the root crops. Wicking beds can be used in combination with an AP system or by themselves. Depending on how you build them they can be flow through (Earthan beds are an example of this sort of system) and return the water back to the AP or they can just receive water but not return water to an AP system.
