Hello! New here, I am koitish_girl and I am starting me second aquaponics system!
My first one was a simple ten gallon tank with some herbs, but my second one is a lot larger. It’s a PVC system (flood style) and has about 100 sq meters in growing space. My question was does anyone have a good guess on how many fish I’d need for this size of growing? I am going to use expanded clay as medium and we are probably going to go with sunfish. I know it’s about 100 grams of food/day per meter of growing area but how many fish is that?? Obviously small fish won’t eat as much so when they are small I’ll need more. But speaking on a full grown scale how many sunfish would it take to eat 100/grams a day? Do I need a messier fish? Any advice would be helpful! Thank you in advance!
