i want to try a small scale project with vertical towers, experimentong with alternatives to the wicking strip and the support sponge. I will hang 6 towers off a 200l barrel ( (the blue ones), which i will places above the sump. will the towers? with a sponge support and the wicking strip ( or the alternative) count as part of the filters? I have included three 45 litre filter tanks, two with filter material in them. How dp you calcuñate the filter effect of the towers? My towers are 1m tall.
