transerred fish to bigger tank.
i miscalculated on the height for the bell syphon, so the pump is on atimer, 15mins on, 15 mins off.
the pump delivers 1500l / hour.
i have half the system working, will connect second half in 2 weeks.
does anyone else just work their pump with a timer ?ImageImageImage

Hi Shaunohara, mind if I ask a couple questions?

To make it short, I'm looking to buy a house in Greece and go live there. And of course, I'd like to install an aquaponics system there. However, I'm not that familiar with that climate, since I live in rainy Belgium.

So, to come back to the questions :

-With a climate similar to yours, what are the "tricks" one should do as not to kill their fish and vegetables? And what breed of fish would you recommend? Of course, as far as plants go, I think I'll go for what usually grows in that region.

-Do you think that there would be enough space in the backyard of that house to install an aquaponics complex?

-Do I build a shed with a sliding roof (in other words, it usually has a roof with windows that can be opened, but I can slide a second layer on it as to completely close it from the sun if needed) so that I don't fry my vegetables?

Thanks in advance!
