Anyone used foam cubes for seed starting? If so what are you putting them in for germination I bought some as they are cheaper then jiffy pods but not having much luck getting things to sprout. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk |

Don't know the brand, but some are better than others, what brand do you have. Oasis is a commercial brand used by many a grower. Use a Ebb and Flow system for bottom watering. |

I've tried Oasis cubes but in my experience it works better with simple rockwool cubes. I soak the cubes with water before sowing, and then keep them in a tray with a little water until they sprout. Transplant them in the growbeds after two weeks or so, when roots emerge from the bottom of the cubes. |

I know Andreas (Dasboot) has used that type of cube. --- Try germinating using the paper towel and baggie method. |

Looks like the paper towel and baggie method is the winner so far. 100% germination, now time to see how many survived transfer to the cubes. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk |

Here's another good one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwrflfAzgKc I am horrible with seeds. I took a class from Nan Sterman a few weeks ago and I had almost 100% germination. Plants are now ready for transplant. By the way, my backyard AP system, along with a couple of others, will be on her TV show May 11th which is an episode about Aquaponics. Her episodes are also available online. |
