thoughts on this "one hand on the pole" claim?

can you really just put a T piece in the middle of a water supply pipe and this solves backpressure issues?

Whilst his analogy of end feed vs. Middle feed is a bit poor, it would have to be right..
Feeding from one end is poor as in order to be able to control the flow to get water from each control, then you would need more pressure and thus power.. to get proper flow from start to end...

Feeding to the centre via a T fitting would be better. And from a Y fitting even better..

And with his beaut setup, a ring feed could be even better. Ie a figure 8 ,with the feed at the centre of the cross bar.. over the top..YES
It is the same principal as a ring electricity cable..

I can hear Stuart's mind ticking over.. "..if only we had efficient ... Y .... connectors", to reduce the significant turbulence at 90deg transitions ..and. "..drag and turbulence are proportional to velocity.." and so centre feed can halve the velocity in each direction.."
