I am thinking .. pyramids.

Oh dear! Thinking again!

4 lengths of white pipe ( 2 or 3 inches) tied at the top and closed at the bottom with an end cap fitting. a small sllit in the legs to let water escape under the water line or a spout for aeration.

The legs are spread to each corner of your fish tub.

Put holes on the top side of each pipe (holes similar to the tower systems but on the uppermost side only).

Fill each tube with perlite and plant your seedlings.

Put a 4 way distribution manifold on the top and direct the feed water via an airlift pump or a small submersible.

Pipes can be fitted with wire mesh to act as a trellis.

You can list the whole thing out when needed.

Very stable!

What ya think?

Bugger .. something else to try! 8)

should be fine in summer when the sun is directly overhead but in winter the crops on the sunward side will do a lot better then the non sun side. good idea for the equator and norhern austrlia also would suit the transport tubs that some of us are using for tanks down to the ground. I like it for because it gives good visibility of fish as well as medium for bacteria growth without the need for heavy supports like I am currently using.

OK .. I am going to have a shot at it ...

Might take me a week or two ..

I recon it would work well with stormwater pipe .. but what the hell .. I will try to do a lego sized mini system ...

something water loving .. such as mint or corriander .. in pearlite maybe?

:D

yopu could probably add an extra verticle at the apex, with water feed in to the verticle.

I like and am most interested in the EC readings before and after your pyramid.

Also, if possible a control pipe with same plants and see if the pyramid 'takes off'.

And a burial chamber for fish underneath!

Aquaddict ..

I have to get a mortgage on a conductivity meter .. also a couple of scarabs, a special papyrus scroll, several incantations to Isis and Ra...

If I am very careful I think I can align a cross pipe with Orion ... so that dead fishy has an afterlife.

I think we are on a similar wavelength!

(Like me, it seems U read a lot ... possibly too much!)

Regards

Johnnie

Yeah and then you look at the torrentfish and how shape has made it adhere more in higher flows. Which is where stealth came from.

Shape and form have many secrets. Humanity is a baby at physics.
