i have 1 cucumber seedling
3 romain lettuce seedlings
and a 1 ft tall rasberry plant i transplanted into the system so far

i want to find some containers to use as free growbeds so i can build the system a bit bigger then a gutter. i also have a total of 9 goldfish as of today.

have any of you guys cut down the sides of a rubbermaid tote to use as a gb?

Hi V, No, but that should work in a pinch. You will want to shore up the sides with a truss of kind (like with 2x4s) because they will bow out a lot.

my alkalinity is 300 is that bad or good or what? i havnt heard anyone talk about it on the forums yet.

That's quite high. High alkalinity combined with high pH is bad for plants, and can also be bad for fish.

tested mine ages ago, from memory it was in the 200 to 250 range............high, but every things working
