This is the plan 8)

Using the Tanks rising and failing water level to push and pull water in/out of the heating pipe. It’s very simple, the receiver container will draw down when the pump is filling the Grow Bed/s pulling the heated water into the Pond/Tank. The opposite is true when the Grow bed is dumping into the pond. The Solar pipe can’t contain anymore water than what the surface area of the container that it drains into (x) the drop in the pond. The idea is to change the water in the pipe with each Ebb and Flow of the system. This will results in keeping the water from getting to hot for the fish and melting the PVC pipe.

I'll post pictures this weekend. Has anyone tried this yet?

Not my field of expertise Bkaus.... but sounds like a logical solution to me...

I think the main thing will depend on the geometry of your system with respect to the sun and any surrounding buildings.

A solar water heater is easy to build. And you can build a "leaky" one to prevent melting (or get fancy with sealed piston openers).
