Not sure about species in the US....

But as a rule I'd tend to think "shrimp" wouldn't last more than a "snacktime" with fish :D

Crayfish also need to be protected (with lots of hides) if they're in the same tank as fish.... particularly when they molt...

Well dey's shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich....

Yes shrimp tasty yum!

I was looking for a shrimp because crayfish are not legal in AZ. The Macrobrachium rosenbergii won't work because it's only one per sq meter. What might work is the Macrobrachium dayanum they get to 3in for the males and can be stock at ~1sqft per male if blinds are set up even more or built a holding cage. What is also good about this shrimp is that they are born fully shrimp no larvae stage.

I live maybe a mile from the ocean and have a whole fleet of shrimp boats up the street but i'm too cheap to pay the $6/lb for freash shrimp most of the time. I cant wait to move so I can get started working on my system and raise my own fresh shrimp, by the way the freshwater ones sell for about $8/lb
