Hi everyone. Its official. Just bought the tickets... I fly into Seatac on Dec. 20. I'll be mostly around the Tacoma area & at some point going to Yarrow, BC. Could someone tell me of an AP farm or just someplace where I can see an operating AP system? Thanks! |

I could give you a nice tour, show you some beautiful places, but don't personally know of anything up there. I have a brother there, maybe you could stop in and convince him to go AP. You know teaching is a great way to learn. |

I've got a friend who works for fish and game in Washington, I just sent him an email to ask him for you. Unfortunately as far as I know it's not Salmon season. I'll let you know what he says. |

I appreciate it! I agree about the salmon. That's one fish I'd love to catch... Oh well, at least I'll get to eat some... Thanks Rass. |

Mostly it will be ice fishing. But if you make it to Kelowna. I will actually be around until January as the wife and I are headed home for Christmas. |

None as far as I know. There are quite a few trout farms/ hatcherys Troutlodge for example- but none of them are aquaponic. I will have a system but I'm a newbie too and I won't get my trout until the spring. I doubt my system will work by then and my folks don't want strangers coming to my house. You should look for some in BC or northern Oregon. |

Even if it is salmon it's far too yucky to fish for them. I haven't had any luck fishing but you shouldn't fish in pugent (pungent) sound. |

I haven't heard from my friend about fishing in Washington at that time of year. I'll post whatever he has to say. As for Ice Fishing, you can do it in the interior in BC at that time of year. But the last time I was ice fishing was in Manitoba. The fishing I did in Oregon was either river/stream or for salmon on the Columbia or around Tillamook/garibaldi. |

I was looking online to see what I could find, and you may want to contact Swift Aquaculture... http://www-sci.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/aqua/AQ/Aq95.pdf |

Yup i was talking interior. Lots of my friends spend a couple of hours sitting on the ice drinking beer and waiting for the fish. |

lol, yeah my friends back home, Manitoba, have little cabins they tow out on the ice. The last time I went was in a 'shack', this is a cabin, complete with satellite tv! Ice fishing is a way to get away from women! Does anyone in the area, know of any aquaponic farms? |

Knew there was a reason I had crossed it off my sport "TODO" list |
