Ive an inside hydroponic system as a starter for an outside aquaponics system im in the north of the UK so have a very short growing season. Im getting a bit of mould and fungus that I need to treat but dont want to use anything that will leach from the plant later when its in the aquaponic beds. A lot of the fungicides Ive seen are toxic to fish. Anyone know of one that isnt? Sally |

Hi Sally and welcome.... Try this link for general info (mostly soiled based but organic)... Organic Fungal Control Try this ... Quote: Spray with milk as a preventative fungicide for powdery mildew in a ratio of one part milk to 9 parts water and as they mention in another section .... Quote: Spray vulnerable plants regularly with a seaweed based product to build plant vigour.
"Maxicrop" is a UK based liquid seaweed product that I've used extensively for years both here in OZ and in NZ where things were colder and damper.... does wonders for plant vitality and doesn't harm the fish |
