I am so glad I am not growing out of soil, so much hard work to just feed the ground and a hungry bugger around here.
silver loam, fed it for years and the whiteants, possums k'roos,banditcoots and a mirriade of things to get food inside the house.
Now it is RIGHT there!!
Much easier to house and survey and reap.

Likewise, this is the only time so far I've been able to grow lettuce that didn't have slugs and their slime trails all over it.

mmm...wondering what vermin will congregate, thinking I might do some research.
I wonder if bush rats will come looking.
I will have to take good care of the closers.
