Thanks for the link Monya.

Could be iron well. There are certainly more missing nutriments, I guess. Calcium, ...
Do you add something to your water, like pond fertilizer? I should try that.
Anyway the plants are well.

Mr Guppy is less active maybe he suffers to be single or is it from my experiments?
I should have waited more for the tomato, not a lot of taste, I admit.

Must be time to get youur little man a friend Fred, only so much enjoyment a single male guppy can get out of life :D

You could add a bit of seasol, seaweed extract, see how that goes. One little fish probably ain't providing enough nutrients on its own

Yeps, I shall add 3-4 girls for him. Maybe one at a time. Anyway now there is a lot of water in my system I must calculate. I added a refrigerator just wasting space. With a plastic sheet for ponds it makes a pretty nice growbed, something like 1mx50cm. So I may have 100 more liters which just needs to circulate well.

I shall keep this topic updated and also require your lights. Seems my troubles aren't finished :(

My HPS lamp blew out, so now the tomatoes are outside. Fortunately the sun is still here...

Days ago, I bought 4 guppy girls for Mr Gup-Gup. Unfortunately when I came back home the poor fish was dead. Mistake: I thought I could store some fresh water in the bath tub until the chlorine goes away. I think there was some soap or shampoo left :( Anyway.
Now I have these 4 guppy girls, and 4 godlfish from the pond in the garden. They look fine but...
Well, with me everything is very difficult.
There is something wrong with the electricity. Either the filter or the air pump: I simply put my finger in the water and got an electric shock!
I don't know what to do. Will determine if it is the air pump or the filter. I am disapointed. All this stuff is not new but I'd expect there was no danger...

Did you test it with the finger method. Ouch!

An old fridge might make a nice wee insulated tank for coldwater species too.

And I've got one lying around...

Yeps, that hurts! The guppies look well this morning, fortunately.
I'll post pictures of this new growbed, sure. Finally I found an usage for it, difficult here to have it thrown away. Transportation & ecology tax were worriying me, I have no car.
As fish tank it would be great, effectively well suited to keep water insulated, and why not keeping it cold too, coupled with a thermostat to have a constant 18° water? I guess it would run in any position.

Is there something involving gravity? This is just a gas pumped to pressure, finally.

Yes fred, you're right about the gas being pumped around, but its not the gas thats the problem, its the compressor!

Most times in fridges the motor/piston assembly is supported by springs and there is also the oil issue. The oil MUST reside in the "sump" sort of like a car. Other wise when you start the compressor it will be running dry. And if that wasn't enough, depending on what type of start relay it uses most of them need to be mounted a certain way to function correctly.

Sorry for the bad news fred.

pity :(

I'f you wanted to try your luck you could turn the fridge to its new position, then carefull unbolt the compressor (while supporting it with something) and TRY to turn it 90 degree without kinking the two pipes going to it

Then again, fred, the thermostat is usually INSIDE the cabinet...........most certainly wouldn't like to be submerged under water!
