ok, heres a rough sketch, if you missed the previous discussions about google sketchup, you should do a quyick search, download it and give it a go, it takes no time to learn how to use it and you see how quickly I did this up....

as you can see anumber of beds all lined up, each bed just needs one end raised a little, the drain pipe runs under all the bedsand into the fish tank, only need one pump, and there will be no actual difference in fall over the 19m, it's just each individual bed... :)

Thasts pretty much how DR lennard had his cont. flow raft system plumbed in, with each bed section being 5m, all draining to a common pvc pipe running the length

The beds would need to be distinctly seperated though, and have another "feed pipe" running above other wise the last one wouldn't get as much water, or would it EB?

Ok Looks good
Now for the stupid question how dose the water from the fish tank get to the grow beds I can see how it gets back would I have to pump it on to the first one and let gravity do its work

no.... pumped to each bed..... they are all individual beds, each with a slight fall... that is what I was trying to point out earlier with the over exagerated \ \ \ \ \

one main pump line above the beds with a T piece and valve at each bed.. The first few beds will need to have their intakes throttled down a little so that the end bed gets water..

Yep...... :)

I guess the only thing is that it's harder to make 5 smaller beds than one large one, but, in the long run, you'll be glad to spend more time in the design process.... Shovelling that gravel really sux, you only wanna do it once.
