I've got one filter that adds a lot of air to the water. This would be stage 1. And the protien skimmer would be stage 2. So by the time that water got to the air stone in the skimmer the amount of o2 in the water would be very high. I was looking at something that I can turn on and off. You can get foam in fresh water but it needs a lot of o2. Koi ponds have used them to clear large volumes of water.
