Just make sure if you FIND the blue metal from some out of the way carparking area along the road it doesn't smell of fuel/oil.

Some main roads have a NASTY habit of spraying the rocks.

You could get away with 75 blue metal to 25 clay - works for me.

Circulating water will drive solids toward the tanks centre,,,removal of these solids from the fish tank ( majority at the CENTRE) ASAP makes very good sense.
