I'm definitely looking for a cheaper option at this point.

I'd go a diy geyser pump Scotty you could run a line from the aerator to the mineralisation tank with a simple valve or if you want to go fancy 12v air valve controlled by a 12v timer.
Not as accurate as a peristaltic but after a few trial runs it should be reasonable. :)

I'm not sure that's how I'll do it but I've decided that a pump and timer combo is the way to go on the inflow to the RFS rather than a valve. Here's what I'm up to.

I'm going to be drawing off the bottom of two SUFs into a 30 gallon Cone Bottom Tank (CBT) - Radial Flow Settler/Filter. I hope to have either some timed draw off from the RFS to the mineralizer or just do it manually. Most of the water from the RFS will be going back to the SUFs. Right now the hang up is how to handle the extra water volume from the transfer of solids to the mineralizer. I'd like to have it go to the Plant sump and this might be doable if I don't transfer from the RFS to the mineralizer too often. I was hoping to do continuous or hourly or daily transfers but I won't be able to handle that kind of water volume most of the time, without having another pump in the plant sump and transferring back to the fish side. I might have to draw a diagram of what I'm trying and start a new thread so people can find it if they want to :thumbright:.

Thanks for the help everyone.
