i am in mandurah and use bore water is has worked fine
but even local within 5k the water is too high in calcium
so i would advise testing
ph is 7.6 which is less than tap water

I'm in Jane brook. I use totally bore water for both the 1000L tank and the pool. So far the trout, silver Perch, marron, yabbies and Kio have no problems with it at all.
