So when is someone going to take one for the team and start a urineponics system? I can't because our house is within borough limits...

Hum, so this question tells me that no one here has (at least not as of this thread.) I might have to call it goldaponics or something just to hide the fact. I'm incredibly interested in AP but not really for the fish. I've got Hydroponics going but I don't like the chemical use. I might be willing to be a test case.
I've already been using diluted urine as a liquid fertilizer for the soil garden and I definitely believe peeing in the compost pile is very important. (Oh, and no need to sneak around and hide it from the wife as I'm her.)

Just curious about what the house being within borough limits has to do with the whole subject?

My guess would be that it has to do with ordinances around proper disposal of human waste via the sewers or an approved and properly maintained septic system. In our area, it would be hard to get even a composting toilet approved. I figure there's really not much concern if you don't go flaunting your 'improper' disposal methods. Just make sure all the contributors of 'liquid gold' have a clean bill of health, and that you prevent fecal contamination.

Good advice that applies to a surprisingly large number of activities in my life.

TC, tongue in cheek, this sort of thing I would put in the ask for forgiveness rather than permission basket if the volumes weren't large (just an individual experimental setup).
