I'm wanting to grow strawberries under grow lights just to get used to aquaponics I'm also do hydroponics indoors small scale to see which I like better.

I'm planning on doing a variety of strawberries and planting 1 of each or maybe more if theres room. I then plan on removing the varieties I dont like and planting another first year of the ones I do like so I have a constant 1 and 2 year crop.

I want to keep the system small maybe 6 to 12 plants and I plan on having ornamental fish in an aquarium or aquariums.

I will be building it up stairs and we have narrow almost a ladder stairs so it will need to be tear down able also.

Eventually if I like hydroponics or aquaponics I'll try to grow them outside in a greenhouse for year round produce to try and sell.

I would do a bit of both.

I had NFT in the form of vertical 90mm PVC pipes with cuts for strawberry plants (PVC pipes respond well to making a cut, then blasting it with a hair dryer to soften it so you can push the top of the cut in to make a nice cup for the the plant) sitting over a small grow bed.

The PVC pipes tended to leak a bit, but by putting them over a grow bed you increase your growing area with the NFT tubes, get growbed ammonia to nitrate conversion, and also collect any drips, splashes, and spills.
