Thawee, I just checked to find the answer to your question about the Epsom salts and here is what I found....

First things first this is just my calculations and I have no idea if or how the salts will affect your plants......

I measured a tablespoon of Epsom salts and it was 6g

375g is 62.5 tbls of Epsom salt for 20litres

That means there is 31.2 in 10 litres

That means 3.12 in 1 litre

There are 3.78 litres per gallon US

There are 4.56 litres per gallon UK

3.12 tablespoons per litre X 3.78 = 11.79 tablespoons per gallon US

3.12 tablespoons per litre X 4.56 = 13.66 tablespoons per gallon UK

11.79 times 6g = 70.74g per gallon US

13.66 times 6g = 81.9g per gallon UK

Again these are just my calculations not my opinions. I hope this helps you.

Approximatively 2 grams of epson salts in a 100 gallons system will add 1 ppm Magnesium...

Mr Damage worked out a ratio for dosing that works for most people but it will require you to make some adjustments based on your system - this should get you started - http://www.backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=24294

Holy crap Scotty... I'd forgotten about that thread, I can't believe it's over three years old.

I will need to get on there and post an update (I thought I had already). I have changed some of the products I use for raising and buffering pH and treating deficiencies, as well as the ratios in which I use them... Have been getting excellent results for the last couple of years in regards to maintaining pH without messing up the Ca-Mg-K balance.[/quote]

Could you share the better ratio and those updated products? Dying to know!
