Sorry if I got carried away, lots of people know very little about farming but still criticize anyway (that is a not aimed at people here, just a general view I have formed from past experience). Chemical sprays on food is another subject that worries me, why do so many people assume everything (fruit and veg) they buy has spray on it? It may have been sprayed while it was growing but it should be safe when it is sold. There are strict limits on how soon things can be sold after chemicals are used to prevent contamination.

nova, i guess it just a case of the "unknown" better to assume the worst.

I was just reading up of mango's apparently any mangoes that are to imported into a fruit fly exclusion zone must be sprayed with an approved insecticide AFTER harvest.
