Well after a few dramas with submersible pumps, light tingling in the water and not sealing so well pumps, Ive now gone an external unit, however I must say its rather noisy, anyone got some ideas on how to insulate and muffle the sound a bit, Ive started to make a large box around it and will probably line it with something, but wondering if anyone else has done it yet and what results did they achieve

Just make sure to leave some vents so you don't overheat the pump.
