Hello Ap'ers

Anybody out there using A+ Class Recycled Water for their BYAP systems?

Will be turning on my purple dual retic tap here at a cost of $1.40/1000L.

The Water Quality is pretty darn good compared to drinking water minus the chlorine which fish love oh so well.

I intend to cycle system well for a few weeks and give a chance for any nasties to cop a good sun-tan.

After that, rainwater will keep system topped up.

How about some more details... and pics would be nice... got no idea what "A+ Class Recycled Water" is.... but a "purple tap"... that I can conceptualise.... now dual taps... that's impressive....

P.S ... how are you going to give the nasties a"good sun tan".... solarium... or UV filter/lamp... :dontknow:

A+ Recycled Water is sewage water recycled and filtered and UV treated. it is supplied to new estate in North West Sydney and also up here on the Gold coast. Dula reticulation means a 2nd pipe network is supplied other then your drinking mains. The 2nd network is coloured purple so it is a visible reminder of what the water source is.

It has various Health department & water quaility criteria tests to meet before it is approved. Basically fit to drink although is not chlorinated.

The chance that there maybe some E Coli, then I will be cycling the the system with some great QLD summer sun to solar irradiate the water. UV rays is one of the best ways to zap water microbes.

System top-up will then be rainwater.
