Howdy everybody, I'm sure glad Joel got things straightened out. I was about to go nuts not being able to keep up with what was going on in the Aquaponic world . We are into the fall hear in Southeast Texas and it looks like we are going to have a wet winter. We had 31 inches of rain at my place in a 2 wk period. I am planning on putting my system together in the spring, thought I would get all my planning a gathering lined out this winter. I am waiting on Joels book and dvd's to arrive I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas. I check the p.o. box everyday.

31 inches- thats almost 3 foot of rain.... in two weeks. I could be completely wrong but isn't that a lot of rain for Texas.

Bit of Perth trivia.
Just by comparison Perth's all time wettest day was 99.0 mm approx 4 inches in 1920, it has only every been over 3 inches in a day five time in our history. The wettest week is somewhere between 6-8 inches.

Tim, Townsville had its wettest day (actually only in about 6 hours) in January 1998 with 549mm. That was a big night! :toothy2:

mmm... isn't that were boulders from the top of the hill decide to go down the hill and make a splash?

yes, that type of thing happened, lots of streets vanished into potholes the size of cars etc, water through houses, shops... SPLOOSH!

I rember hearing the underground lot at wooly's was filled right to the top

oh, here's more NQ trivia, In 2000 the station on the top of Bellenden Ker (Qld's highest mountain, only 1632m, just south of Cairns - look out AM!) 12,461mm rain was recorded for the year (I think that's about 42 feet of rain in one year)

But the highest daily rainfall for Australia was in 1893 on the Sunshine Coast with 907mm in 24 hours (just over 3 feet)

Ya'll have to remember I am on the Gulf Coast we get lots of rain in this part of Texas. Very sub-tropic. I called my local county and varified the measurement. I was useing a 5 inch rain gauge that I dumped five times in that period and I know that it ran over for a while one time.

Mike that's alot of rain. But I am jealous you are in a sub tropical region. Perfect for AP...
