Hi!!

Can I Inoculate a new system with an older system to accelerate the cycle? My old system is 35 gallon (133lt) and I'm starting a new system of 250 gallon (1000lt). I'm thinking to use about 15 (57 liters) gallon of the older one to inoculate the new one. Is it a good idea or I need to wait to stablish the new one?

I used a smaller system to kick start the larger one. A bit of gravel and some water helped.
Now if someone close wanted to start a 1000ltr system I could supply all the water and it would cycle in half the time or less.

Inoculating with water and/or gravel from another system will help, and speed the cycle, and the greater the inoculation, the more it will reduce the cycle time. Also the closer the old mimics the new, the more it will help the cycle.
