Wondering if inline ball-valves will cut the pump output, I'm using a 210GPH pump which will drop to 137GPH with the 4' head I need. That output is still probably 3X my needs as I'm only filling 2-15 gallon (60 liter) GB'S. So, if I place an inline valve will that allow me "adjust" the GB level or does this just increase the velocity of the waterflow.I don't want to get into high $ digital timers as I haven't been able to locate any affordable ones ($20.00).
I'm finding these "small" systems to be a bit of pia, after digging a hole to bury the tanks I was quite tempted to drop a liner in and have a 225 gal. "pond" and attach a 4'x8' GB for starters, may do just that after this "experiment", would've been alot easier and more productive from a $ to plant yield standpoint!

Tee off from your pump outlet back to the fish tank... to bleed off excess flow... this will also assist with aeration...
Put a ball valve on the "teed" section... so that you can clamp the flow going back to the tank when you add more growbeds...
Leave the inline/ball valve at the growbed outlet... this will allow you to fine tune the inflow against your siphon outflow... and/or flood height...
