quote]TC my water originally tap water with almost neutral PH and gets topped up by rain water, have an in tank filter around 27lt container filled with gravel and Blue Metal plus shade cloth, also have around 30lts of Blue metal and 25lts of clay balls in grow bed and 50lts of blue metal and around 300 kg of river stone in tank[/quote]

Hi Nocky I was womdering if the gravel you heave is a limestone like the cracker dust style??? I read on one site to test if limestone put stones in a cup and add white vinegar if it bubbles it is a limestone and the limestone will raise ph...I was going to put some gravel from the landscaping place around here but tested it and bubble bubble toil and trouble , I went to all clay pebbles took the problem out of the equation....
Good luck
