KP i understand the 1L=1KG but it confuses the issue.

1.5% would mean 15grams per KG product.

THEN if you put 1KG of the product in you would have

15,000ppm (15ppt)

As far as I read it, it is weight per total solution weight. So less than that, but only marginally.
But yes that's how I read it. so it's 15,000ppm, But then, if you put in 1kg, into a 1000L system, it becomes only 15ppm.
How much do ppl dose with seasol?
if you have a 3000L system and use 1kg then 5ppm
if you only use 200ml (as I would expect is the max) you would only get an increase of 1ppm, which your plants would eat no probs.
1 kg of product is a HEAP steve,
In dirt that much ammonia would probably be ok, even good, in our systems, don't put too much in.

nb everything I know on this topic has been learnt via google in the last 24 hours. So I reserve the right to be wrong whilst adamantly sure I'm right :-) how's that for arrogance!

I have put the trace elements in your picture into my tank with no ill effect to the fish. However I diluted 2 (supplied measure) spoon fulls into 8 litres of water.

I have put seasol in varying amounts as well but I note from this thread that it has a fairly high concentrate of copper as well.

My leaves started to green up at first but have now started to yellow up again.

Seasol does not particularly have a "fairly high" concentration of copper, and it is unlikely to be in sulphate form.
If you are going to do it I would suggest as a very dilute foiliar feed, not in full sun, preferably early in the morning.
How are your nitrates? or do you have any pics of the plants?

Regarding the copper. Copper sulfate is classified as an environmental hazard, wll kill fish. Google the Material Safety Data Sheet for the ingredients. I know copper sulfate is very toxic to organisms, be more worried about the bacteria in the grow beds than the fish either way, i would avoid it

I worried about the product and only used it once because I wasn't having much luck with adding seasol. Stressed for days before adding. My amonnia and nitrates were uneffected after the application, even weeks after, so my bacteria must be intact.

Am having a nutrient problem somewhere. See my thread in members systems for pics of plants.

Arbor's small space system.

Really silly question, but what about crushed Vitamin tablets? Although that's probably an expensive way to buy supplements for plants...

i.e. Centrum seems to have a lot of the minerals that would seem to be beneficial...
